The name ‘Merapet, its logo and most of its product names are enjoying registered status provided by the Trade Marks authority, GOI. Merapet’s products are available across India and Nepal since 2002. Thus, products from Merapet are time-tested, proven and trusted by the pet-parents for their loved companions.
MANY FIRSTS IN INDIA SOLUTIONS
- Back in 2002, pet parents used to feed the new born pups with baby food formulas. Realizing the market need for humanization of pets and with the zeal of innovation, Merapet became the first Indian manufacturer of weaning formulation for pet, Meralac, for both puppies and kittens.
- Introduced brand Maximin in 2002, first and the only (till date) in the pet-care market which can control ‘nutritional fur shedding’ within a span of just 10 days.
- In 2008, a holistic formulation (Dizylac) for the pooches was introduced, which are highly palatable dry syrup and are required in small quantity as is doped with high concentration of probiotics and other five anti-diarrhoeal elements to quickly regain their appetite and control diarrohea.
- Merapet is credited with launching the first kitten dewormer (Kilverm) in 2011, and anti-tick preparations with fipronil (Deletik), which is the most effective and least toxic agent for pets in economic shampoo and dusting powder form in 2014.
- Innovation continues, as it launched Gutapp, a high potency unique tonic which serves as gut and nervine tonic as well as an appetite stimulant.

The core team at Merapet has over 150 years of collective experience in the pet pharmaceuticals and health industry in areas of companion animal nutrition, veterinary clinical practice, pharmacy and food technology.
Dr. Sudipt Laik, Founder & CEO
A veterinary graduate with distinction and M.B.A. from IRMA (Institute of rural Management), Anand, Gujarat. He has authored the book, “ 30 Iconic Vets and Animal Welfare Activists- their success stories and our learnings”, afterworded by Hon. Shri, Karthikya Vikram Sarabhai and foreworded by V.C, AAU. He holds techno-commercial experience across sectors like government, dairy co-operative and private and has served top corporates in the health and pharmaceutical industry in India for over a decade. Has keen interest and strives to develop expertise in companion animal formulations. Gives talks at various management institutes like IIPM (International Institute of Planning and Management, and IBS (ICFAI Business School) in the areas of corporate strategy and marketing.
